“From the Sunny Side of the Alps (Slovenia)”

At the next Architectural Matters event of the MOME Institute of Architecture on November 7, this time, in an unusual way, the participants can listen to a guided round table discussion with Vidic Grohar Arhitekti and Mertelj Vrabič Arhitekti, the curators of the Slovenian pavilion of the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale, as well as Arhitekti Počivašek Petranovič.

☞ Vidic Grohar Arhitekti was founded in Ljubljana in 2016 by Anja Vidic and Jure Grohar. In their projects, they do not follow a pre-set architectural agenda, but try to freely develop new specific architectural, design and curatorial solutions through the rearticulation of given situations.

☞ Office Mertelj Vrabič Arhitekti was established in 2015 by Maša Mertelj and Matic Vrabič. The firm has completed numerous projects ranging from small objects to buildings. Office is mostly known for renovation and exhibition design projects that have been featured in Slovenian and international publications.

☞ Arhitekti Počivašek Petranovič was established in Ljubljana in 2017 by Davorin Počivašek and Urban Petranovič. With each project, the office rethinks the priorities, criteria and factors that form the idea of what quality of life is. In their projects, they create a coherent architecture by studying the surroundings.
