Gábor Arion Kudász (1978, Budapest) is a Hungarian photographer, Associate professor of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
Arion incorporates staged and artificial elements into a documentary approach of photography. His early works concentrated on human interactions within built and natural environments. He examined space as a natural resource and its absurd and careless exploitation. In his current artistic research, Arion narrows his attention on the understanding of the relationship between responsibility and ambition. He is involved in a research on life-choices of Hungarian youth, supported by the MMKI scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. His achievements were recognized by the Robert Capa Grand Prize. Arion is an avid supporter of self-publishing, he has published many of his own photo books.
